As someone who makes games as well as plays them, ew, what a crummy response. If he were to say “I enjoy reading books”, I bet the response would have been different even though that is equally as passive, but not seen as “immature”. Video games are one of my many passions too. I call it interactive fiction at times. XD
Anyway, had to call that out because yeah. I can relate to that pet peeve. I’ve had to overcome a lot of stereotypes about “who can enjoy video games” for a lot of my life. I own at least 7 gaming consoles.
I hope therapy does end up helping and that you find a better place soon!
